Alaskan® Multi-purpose De-icer contains methanol, isopropyl alcohol and propylene glycol. All three have very low freezing points (-59 °C or lower). They have proven track records in the automotive industry, where they are used in anti-freeze, and in the aviation industry, where they are key ingredients in the fluids used to de-ice wing and tail surfaces of small- and medium-sized general aviation aircraft.

FOR USE ON CARS: 

Using Multi-purpose De-icer before it snows

Hold can upright and spray Alaskan® Multi-purpose De-icer on windshields, windshield wipers, windows, external mirrors, car door locks, etc. from a distance of 25 to 30 cm (10 to 12”) to prevent the build-up of ice and snow.
 

Using Multi-purpose De-icer after it snows

1. Start car and turn on front and rear defrosters.
2. Brush off heavy snow from windshield.
3. Hold can upright and spray Alaskan® Multi-purpose De-icer on windshield, windshield wipers, windows, and external mirrors from a distance of 25 to 30 cm (10 to 12”). Spray directly on frost, light snow or iced areas. 
4. Clear windshield with wipers and/or scraper. Wipe excess water off side windows.

WARNING

• Do not use on plastic windows or plastic headlights.
• Do not use on interior window surfaces.

ANY OTHER SURFACE 

1. Brush off any heavy snow from the surface.
2. Hold can upright and spray from a distance of 25 to 30 cm (10 to 12”). Spray Alaskan® Multi-Purpose De-Icer directly on frost, light snow or iced areas.
3. Clean or wipe excess water.

FIRST AID TREATMENT

Contains methanol, isopropyl alcohol, carbon dioxide and propylene glycol.

• If swallowed, call a poison control centre or doctor immediately. Drinking of methanol could result in blindness.
• If in eyes, rinse with water for 15-20 minutes.
• Remove contact lenses if present.
• Hold eyelids open during rinsing. If eye irritation persists, seek medical attention.
• If on skin, rinse well with water.
